Bristol is a vibrant, multicultural city situated by the River Avon in the South West of England. Like some post industrial English cities, Bristol city centre went through a lot of regeneration in the last few decades. Traditional high streets now compete with new shopping areas including bars, restaurants, apartments and entertainment. In Bristol, Cabot Circus opened in 2008 next to the traditional high street, Broadmead. In Harbourside, new apartment developments now mix with new business offices, bars and restaurants, making it an attractive place. These new places have created a new society, where people live, behave and interact differently with their new environment. I moved to the city in June 2011 and since I have regularly recorded its everyday life, mostly focusing in its city centre, through outdoor events and festivals celebrating its culture. This series is also part of “From England with Love”, a more global photo project about England.
