I was recently pleased to hear that the picture above made The Scots Magazine calendar 2012. I took it in January 2009 while exploring Isle of Harris during wintertime. My exploration of this part of the Outer Hebrides came just after the snow storm. If it caused a lot of trouble all over Scotland and UK, I felt very lucky and privilege to witness such a beautiful and dramatic landscape. According to the locals, snow doesn’t usually last very long.
It may not be a place you would visit in the winter. However I really recommend it … whatever the season. Isle of Harris is a wild beauty.
I don’t know yet if I will receive a copy of the calendar. If I do, I will create a post for it.
