I am just back from France where I spent some time visiting my family and friends. As tonight most of us will celebrate the end of the year and the beginning of the new year, I would like to wish you all the best for 2012.

Blue lane in the Medina of Larache, Morocco

Man walking in the Medina of Larache (Jerome Lorieau)
Medina of Larache, Morocco, 2011

I was stunned by the beauty of the lane, its colours, its patterns and the symmetry of its Moroccan doors. I waited a long time for something interesting to happen to make this picture more alive. Unfortunately the Medina of Larache is a quiet place … and what best identified the mood of it was a passer by. Larache is a small harbour on the west coast of Morocco. The man was possibly carrying some fish.

Merry Christmas everyone!!
