On the 15th March, I was at the Cheltenham Festival for the Cheltenham Gold Cup Day. It was one of the very first events that I had attended as part of the photographic project “From England with Love”. It was also the first time that I attended a professional horse race a

Although I had travelled to and visited England many times in recent years, it was only in 2011 when I moved from Edinburgh to Bristol that I really started to discover the country. The series, through my camera lens, helps me to investigate British culture and its environment, and hi

Weston Super Mare is an English seaside town situated a few miles south west of Bristol. The seaside has something typically English in its indescribable atmosphere and in the organisation of its seafront: The green space, the promenade, the beach, the Grand pier and the amusement ins

On the 25th July 2012, looking at the map of England, I pointed my finger towards the south, moving it along the Dorset coast before stopping at Weymouth. After a quick image search on Google, I decided to make the two hour drive there from Bristol. Walking towards the beach, my first

I was recently in Portsmouth visiting relatives of my partner. As I never travel or even go out without my camera, I took a few pictures around when the opportunities were there. This was my second visit to Portsmouth and Southsea. I really like the lively Gunwharf Quays. It is an exc

Shetland: I started 2011 by travelling to Shetland. I explored the most Northern part of Scotland, hiking through dramatic landscapes in all sorts of weather: strong winds, snow storms, sheets of rain, sun. I was not always fighting the winter elements. I shared a lot of good times wi

About

Expressing myself between documentary and street photography, my work focus on long term projects because of the human aspect, but also to have better insight and understanding of a situation over time. Photography is a medium that allows me to explore the cultural and sociological aspects of life in order to understand the relationship between the people, their traditions/habits/cultures and their environment. In recent years I have worked on separate long term projects about the Medinas of Morocco and more recently the Yamuna river in India.
