About

[really_simple_share]

Born in Nantes in 1971, Jerome Lorieau is a French photographer and a graduate in graphic design who lives in Bristol. Expressing himself in a photographic style between documentary and street photography, his work focuses on the cultural relationship that people have with their environment and how it affects and influences their everyday life and that of the community. In recent years he has mainly travelled in Morocco and Nepal working on two separate long term projects about the Medinas of Morocco and the Gurung people in Nepal. He focusses on long term projects because of the human aspect, but also to have better insight and understanding of a situation over time. His photographs have been published internationally in various magazines and he regularly exhibits his work. His last exhibition was in June 2011 at the Nepalese festival in Paris.

Publication and client include The Guardian website, Le Monde Voyage, Wardour Communication, World Nomads, Real Travel, Lonely Planet blog, La Maison de l’Indochine, Scots Magazine, Chine Plus, Amateur Photographer, National Geographic books, Budget Travel Magazine, Shetland Life Magazine, Hotel Indigo, Destination Magazine.
