Medina of Larache, Morocco, 2011 I was stunned by the beauty of the lane, its colours, its patterns and the symmetry of its Moroccan doors. I waited a long time for something interesting to happen to make this picture more alive. Unfortunately the Medina of Larache is a quiet place &#

Shetland: I started 2011 by travelling to Shetland. I explored the most Northern part of Scotland, hiking through dramatic landscapes in all sorts of weather: strong winds, snow storms, sheets of rain, sun. I was not always fighting the winter elements. I shared a lot of good times wi

Istanbul, 2011 – See the photo in large Today, I was thinking of posting a photo series telling the story of my 2011 year. But I’m afraid that I am not going to make it. Maybe tomorrow, this week end or Monday. Anyway … I recently uploaded a few pictures to my Turkey

It is raining in Istanbul. On my way to my hotel, I am walking on the Galata Bridge. It is my last evening in the former Ottoman capital. Despite a miserable weather, the bridge is crowded with fishermen and pedestrians … as usual. I can’t help myself but stop to have a la

About

Expressing myself between documentary and street photography, my work focus on long term projects because of the human aspect, but also to have better insight and understanding of a situation over time. Photography is a medium that allows me to explore the cultural and sociological aspects of life in order to understand the relationship between the people, their traditions/habits/cultures and their environment. In recent years I have worked on separate long term projects about the Medinas of Morocco and more recently the Yamuna river in India.
